Marketplace terms for clients and providers
ReferredBy is a connector platform. It helps clients discover and communicate with independent providers, but it does not perform the work, supervise providers, or guarantee outcomes.
Platform role
- ReferredBy introduces clients and independent providers.
- Providers are not employees, agents, or subcontractors of ReferredBy.
- ReferredBy does not supervise jobs, inspect work, or direct how providers perform services.
Accounts and eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to create or use an account.
- You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
- You may not impersonate another person, create fraudulent profiles, or submit misleading verification information.
Quotes, bookings, payments, and disputes
- Clients and providers are responsible for confirming scope, timing, pricing, access, and cancellation expectations before work begins.
- ReferredBy does not guarantee service quality, provider availability, timeliness, or final results.
- Users remain responsible for payment disputes, chargebacks, change orders, cancellations, and off-platform arrangements.
- Provider subscription access, where offered, governs access to certain marketplace business features.
Safety and prohibited conduct
- No harassment, threats, scams, unsafe conduct, illegal services, hate speech, or sexually explicit content.
- No fake reviews, spam, or deceptive business claims.
- No uploading of unlawful, infringing, malicious, or dangerous files.
- Users may be suspended or removed for fraud, abuse, safety issues, or policy violations.
User content and moderation
- You are responsible for the content you upload, publish, or send through the platform.
- ReferredBy may review, restrict, remove, or preserve content to enforce policy, investigate reports, or comply with legal obligations.
- Verification helps build trust but does not guarantee that any provider is licensed, insured, safe, or appropriate for every job.
Limitation of responsibility
- ReferredBy is not responsible for property damage, injury, financial loss, fraud, or disputes caused by users or providers.
- Any claim regarding workmanship, missed appointments, non-payment, or damage must be resolved by the users directly unless law requires otherwise.
Reporting a user or job does not create an obligation for ReferredBy to reimburse, insure, or settle disputes.
Termination and account deletion
- You may delete your account inside the app or request deletion at /account-deletion.
- We may suspend or remove accounts for fraud, abuse, safety concerns, or serious policy violations.
